The Hong Kong Publishing Federation and the Hong Kong Printers Association set up the “Soaring Creativity - Hong Kong Pavilion” (the Pavilion) at the 2019 Taipei International Book Exhibition held between 12 and 17 February. A wide variety of books and publications of around 1,100 pieces, including those with augmented reality and virtual reality technology, was showcased to allow Taiwan readers to “explore” Hong Kong culture. The Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (HKETCO) supported the Pavilion, and sponsored the initiative that customers buying books at the Pavilion were presented a free notebook and won a chance of joining lucky draw for air tickets. The cultural publication “Art & Culture@Hong Kong” published by the HKETCO was also distributed at the Pavilion to enhance the public’s understanding of Hong Kong.
