"This is Hong Kong" Exhibition at Hualien 2017 (May 2017)

The Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (HKETCO) held the “This is Hong Kong” exhibition at the Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park from 12 to 31 May. Through interactive devices, videos, display panels and lanterns etc., Hong Kong’s rich and diverse culture, arts, delicacies and city icons were showcased to the visitors and public in the eastern part of Taiwan. To further the promotion of Hong Kong’s culture, lanterns featured in the Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival at the Hong Kong Victoria Park last year and those shown in the Hong Kong lantern area at the Nantou Lantern Festival of Taiwan earlier this year were on display. The cultural publication “Art & Culture@Hong Kong” was also distributed at the venue. Moreover, to enhance visitors’ understanding about Hong Kong, a Hong Kong resident living in Hualien was invited to demonstrate the making of egg waffles and introduce Hong Kong's street snacks.
