The Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office, the Taiwan Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Tourism Board Taiwan Branch jointly organised the 2017 Spring Reception on 21 February, with a view to strengthening ties with various sectors in Taiwan, and Hong Kong residents as well as Hong Kong businessmen in Taiwan. The event was attended by over 350 guests from various sectors in Hong Kong and Taiwan, including finance, commerce and industry, arts and culture, tourism, academic and media. Yat Po Singers, an arts group from Hong Kong, were invited to share their views on a cappella and gave a performance during the evening to promote the artistic features and novel form of artistic performance of Hong Kong music. Videos featuring Hong Kong’s unique culture and tourism were broadcasted at the venue. Along with decorations rich in “Hong Kong flavours”, guests present were given an opportunity to experience the glamour of the Asia’s world city.
