Hong Kong Week 2015 press conference in Taipei (14.8.2015)

The "Hong Kong Week 2015@Taipei" press conference was held in Taipei on 14 August at Taipei New Horizon. Under the theme of "Arts through time", this year's programmes feature three thematic exhibitions, three performing arts programmes and a performing arts forum, focusing on the creation and passing on of legacies in different artistic fields in Hong Kong. Representatives of the organisers of exhibitions and arts groups as well as artists from Hong Kong travelled to Taipei to attend the press conference and introduced to the audience the highlights of each programme.

The Convenor of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Cultural Co-operation Committee (HKTCCC), Mr Fredric Mao, delivers a speech during the press conference. He said that Hong Kong Week has entered its fourth year and has become an eagerly anticipated annual cultural exchange event between Hong Kong and Taiwan. Speaking at the press conference, Director of the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office, Mr Rex Chang, expresses his hope that the Hong Kong Week will continue to bring various programmes in different artistic fields to people in Taiwan with a view to having it thrive as an important platform for arts and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Music Director of Wuji Ensemble, Wong Chi-ching, gives a pipa performance on a music piece from 'When Petals Fall in Serenity', one of the programmes of 'Hong Kong Week 2015 ', showcasing the beauty of Dunhuang culture.
