The Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (HKETCO) hosted a career talk for Hong Kong students on 9 May 2014 in collaboration with the Taiwan University and a number of Hong Kong and Macao student groups in Taiwan. Specialists from the Hong Kong and Taiwan branches of Adecco, a renowned international human resources firm, attended to give an overview of the job markets in the two places and share job-seeking tips. There were about 40 participants.
This was the first of two career talks organised by HKETCO in May 2014 with a view to providing employment support to Hong Kong students. The other one was scheduled on 16 May which would focus on the civil service of Hong Kong and HKETCO's summer internships.
