Hong Kong lantern area at 2018 Nantou Lantern Festival (10.2.2018 – 4.3.2018)
The Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (HKETCO) set up a Hong Kong lantern area at the 2018 Nantou Lantern Festival held in Nantou County Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10 February to 4 March, providing alternative means for the public in Taiwan to gain an understanding about Hong Kong. With the theme of "Exploring Hong Kong", the lantern area appealed to the public of Taiwan to visit Hong Kong, explore its cityscape and experience the local ambience through a vast array of lanterns and videos featuring travel, arts and culture, and traditional customs of Hong Kong. In order to enhance the public’s understanding of Hong Kong culture, the "Art & Culture@Hong Kong" cultural publication was also distributed at the venue, while the public was also encouraged to "like" HKETCO’s "Hong Kong Week in Taiwan" Facebook cultural page.
